pswd is a password manager built on a simple promise: the service should never be able to read your secrets.
Two planes, one guarantee
We separate the control plane — your email, plan, and billing — from the data plane, which holds only encrypted vault contents. The data plane sees ciphertext and authentication material, never your master password or plaintext. The control plane handles identity and payment, and never touches your keys.
Zero-knowledge, not zero-trust-us
Encryption and decryption happen on your device. Your master password derives your keys locally; only encrypted data leaves your machine. Because the two planes are separate, neither one alone can both bill you and decrypt your vault.
Compatible on purpose
pswd speaks the Bitwarden client protocol, so you can use familiar apps and browser extensions. Sharing scales from a family to an enterprise with a dedicated, isolated deployment.
